Για τα παιδιά που παρακολουθούν τα τμήματα Ξένων Γλωσσών (Αγγλικά, Γαλλικά και Γερμανικά) στο Σχολείο μας, η είσοδός τους στην εποχή της τηλεκπαίδευσης και της αξιοποίησης των νέων τεχνολογιών, για να αντιμετωπιστεί όσο πιο δημιουργικά και γόνιμα γίνεται η αναγκαστική απομόνωση στο σπίτι, έγινε αφορμή να εκφράσουν και σε μια άλλη γλώσσα -εκτός από τη μητρική τους- τις σκέψεις και τα συναισθήματά τους. Αξίζει να διαβάσετε πώς αποτυπώνεται στα λόγια τους αυτή η εμπειρία της συγχρονικής εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης, την οποία εγκαινίασε το Σχολείο μας με συντονισμένες προσπάθειες όλων των εκπαιδευτικών του σε συνεργασία με την Εποπτεία των Αρσακείων Σχολείων και το Τμήμα Μηχανοργάνωσης της Φ.Ε., παράλληλα με την ασύγχρονη εκπαίδευση στην ψηφιακή πλατφόρμα e-arsakeio.

One week ago, I started videoconferences with my school teachers. It was a new, unfamiliar but pleasant experience for me that created a lot of mixed feelings. Firstly, I’m very happy because, this way, I learn new things about computers that will help me later in my life. Also, I like it a lot because I stay safe from Covid-19 and at the same time Ι continue my education. Finally, the daily program includes only 3 lessons, so I have more time to do my exercises from e-arsakeio and relax. On the other hand, I’m a bit dissatisfied of these videoconferences that I had. At the beginning, it is very tiring for our eyes because we must look at the screen all this time. Secondly, I have missed my physical classroom and all my friends. At last, the problem with this program is that everything depends on the quality of the technology. So, some kids had problems with their connection, and they couldn’t watch the lesson. This is absolutely a new experience and I will try to adjust as much as I can, and I hope (like all the others) that this situation with the coronavirus will end soon!!

One month ago, I wouldn’t be able to imagine being at school while I am at home. Covid-19 is the new disease that hit the globe. The Greek Government closed all schools to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Classes are being done with the valuable help of Webex, the magical software. With the touch of a button I can see my classmates and my teacher. Unfortunately, he can see us too! After a few moments once the lesson has started I forget I am at home and I realise it when my mum comes into my room to bring me a glass of fresh orange juice!! All of us hope that coronavirus will disappear but personally I do hope Webex came to stay.

Tele-education is a new reality for us. And like everything new, it’s an interesting, unprecedented experience! To be at home, in my room, comfortable and relaxed and at the same time to meet with my classmates… even through a computer screen! To feel like I’m back to class… even though it is only online! To see my teachers not in our normal classroom at school…  but in their homes!

The lessons we have, are many, and if one wants to be consistent and follow the daily program, he or she must be well organized. With e-learning, I made a new discovery! I feel as if I do not have the teacher-examiner in front of me, as I often felt at school, but the teacher-assistant, from whom I can ask explanations to my questions and further assistance to understand the lessons. Besides, the teachers are very friendly, they support us and they try to eliminate our anxieties given the situation. We feel like we have them with us again! What is really good is that we do classes with almost all teachers, even with those whose subjects can’t actually be taught online but require a laboratory, a music or art room and so on. Distant online learning has led us to discover a new reality, a new daily routine and thanks to it we forget our confinement at home.

So far, it’s going pretty well for me in quarantine. Although it’s hard staying home all day, it’s for our own good because a lot of people are dying from the virus. The good thing is that now I have a lot of time to do stuff that I couldn’t do because I didn’t have time, like: revising, taking care of myself, starting new series and working out (except volleyball)! In conclusion, I do think what’s happening right now is very sad and hard for everyone, but I try to make the most of it and be productive.

Three weeks ago, my school decided to start online classes, that will help us continue learning and evolve. In my view, I find this situation really helpful, because we have the opportunity to refresh what we had been taught before schools were closed. Also, I think that digital online classes help us deal with different situations, such as getting accustomed to working on different programs and using cutting-edge technologies. But the most significant fact of all, is that we see each other and communicate all together that this helps our mood get better while we are in quarantine. Summarizing, I find this new way of learning really intelligent and useful!

These days many countries around the globe are facing a serious pandemic caused by the coronavirus which has obliged millions of people to stay home and stop going to school. That is the reason why my classmates and I have recently started attending digital classes. I believe these classes may prove to be practical because one can stay at home without facing the need to wake up early in the morning, they are easy to access and an nice way to meet your classmates and teachers. Nevertheless, the fact that these classes are held in a different environment prevents me from keeping concentrated on the lesson. Truth be told, digital classes cannot replace traditional school lessons, even though they can provide us with a considerable amount of help nowadays.

Because of the corona virus outbreak we began online classes. I really like this new experience because it’s something very different from normal school and also it’s very interesting! Online learning has many benefits, for example you can socialize with your teachers and also these days that we can’t go out because of the virus we keep ourselves busy and productive. I feel really happy seeing my fellow students during our online classes because we can finally gather all together after a very long time of not seeing each other.

To start with, I think that this is the best choice we have, meaning that we cannot do anything better for our education since we are at home. The advantages of this situation are that we continue our lessons and we move on in the variety of homework that we are supposed to do at school. Also, I privately believe that I can focus better on the lesson and be concentrated more. However, we cannot see each other face to face to have a better communication. Finally, I think that the digital lesson is as good as being at school.

In my opinion digital classes are fantastic, because I can learn new things  and have fun!!! Also, digital classes are a new modern, interesting and enjoyable way for the teachers to teach and help their students revise! Finally, I like all these digital classes, because I can see and talk with my teachers and classmates, despite this difficult period of the pandemic that our world is facing.

The new disease of coronavirus, which is a problem for the whole world, forced us to change our everyday life and transformed our school classroom to an electronic one. Firstly, the whole situation seemed to be funny but really, how much do we enjoy it? The feeling we had by being in the classroom during the lesson seems impossible at the new e- school. That is happening because many other elements have disappeared and the lesson is not vivid and ”warm”. Also, the problems concerning the connection make us feel tired and bored sometimes. On the other hand, this kind of learning is very important for us now that we have to stay at home. Finally, the fact that we can see and listen to our friends and teachers after so much time is very pleasant. The internet school has both advantages and disadvantages but for now it is the only way we have in order to continue our education.

Since the beginning of this year, things have changed in a very short period of time, but really quickly indeed. Schools are still closed and students have started having digital lessons on their computers. I guess, we all miss school! The truth is that we may not be in our real classroom during these lessons but we are still being together with the same teachers and classmates. So, we feel like we’re sitting at our own desks again! But, to be honest, this new form of education is not the ideal one, at least for me. And it could never compare to the good-old traditional way, because talking to somebody face to face is not the same thing as communicating with him through a screen. I hope all these will end soon!

Things have changed. We are staying at home! There is a new challenge every day that we have to go through. Nowadays, we have an opportunity to have online classes that we wouldn’t have, if technology was not advanced. We were not used to online classes but we are getting better at it. We can see our classmates and teachers but there is no classroom. It feels strange. In that way, we can stay in touch with the lessons and with each other. I hope it will all end soon so that we can return back to our daily routine.

What is more, our school and teachers are doing their best for us to have a good lesson. About the lesson, I think it’s good but we still have some technical issues. At first, it was kind of difficult to connect but then I got used to it. After school made a new platform, it’s easier than the previous one. Sometimes I enjoy it more than the real school!! Webex is an application in which the teacher and the other students can see each other and do a lesson. It’s fun to see your teacher and your classmates from your computer. But if you are standing in front of a computer for hours doing the lesson, your eyes will hurt and you will be bored. But I prefer this instead of going to school.

Online classes are a new experience for all students and in my opinion it’s kind of fun! Personally, I think online courses are well planned and laid out and easy for us to follow. Although it’s not the same as the normal school classes, where we would be more energetic, make some jokes or change the subject a little bit, it’s the best way to continue our classes and try to stay ‘connected’ with the school.

Digital education is surely an unprecedented novelty for most of us, since the majority of people still feel it mostly refers to a future situation. However, personally speaking, this new way of teaching does not seem very different to me from a traditional school class. It includes some additional operational tools, of course, which can facilitate both students and professors but , in my opinion, it cannot replace being in a classroom, sitting at a desk, having one’s friends and talking with them during school breaks. Nevertheless, it is the most effective way of achieving a successful distant learning and I must admit that it is interesting and quite entertaining at times.

This new form of education has been a very novel experience for me and I find it very interesting. Firstly, we can see our teachers and classmates in real time, which is very nice, since they can give answers to our questions faster than when they simply write them on an e-mail. What is more, it is vital that we keep in touch with all the school subjects when we are at home, like English or German for instance, which we are going to sit exams in this coming June. All in all, this breakthrough in education has been very helpful both for us and our teachers, and I would probably make use of it again!

Οnline lessons are a new experience for everybody. Through distance learning, lessons are done in a different way, which is not as effective as being in a classroom. Nevertheless, if there is a will there is always a way: these lessons can be achieved as there is contact with the teacher through the image and the sound.

This new way of teaching and learning is really enjoyable and interesting but, unfortunately, it is uncomparable to the traditional teaching method which involves real interaction among teachers and students. When using this distant learning method, individuals cannot achieve an uninterrupted communication with their teacher or their classmates. Nevertheless, under the circumstances, I consider this practice to be more preferable, at least for the time being.

I really like the E-class lessons! I like the way we communicate and I also like the fact that we are able to see each other. This is very important to me because I miss my friends and my teachers and through online lessons I can see them and talk to them. I feel as if it is our normal class as it is interactive and really interesting for us, teenagers. I am thankful that we started this type of lessons although I sometimes get a bit tired in front of my computer screen.

A few weeks ago, students and teachers were given the opportunity to communicate again through online digital classes! It is known that technology is developing more and more quickly these days, so people can achieve things that a few years ago, they couldn’t even think would be possible. Learning through online digital classes is one of them and has recently started becoming a habit of all of us. At the beginning, this procedure was difficult, both our teachers and us had to face problems with the connection or joining successfully in the digital class. However, with the support and the secretary’s assistance, all of us managed to solve all kinds of problems that we faced. Αll in all, it is a very interesting and unforgettable experience for me! I can only say that the education hasn’t borders. It may face problems or may need adjustments, but it can never stop!

Online lessons are a new beautiful experience for everybody. It is a pleasant way to read and learn what you need to know. I think that this will make children learn faster and more pleasantly all the knowledge they need for the future. No teenager wants to wake up in the morning to go to school. However, this method suits most people. I believe that if this method remains in practice, we will go forward as a society: technology will advance further and learning will become faster and more pleasant, which is what every teenager wants.

À cause de l’épidémie de COVID-19 les établissements scolaires ont dû fermer leurs portes. Pour soutenir la transition vers l’apprentissage à distance, notre école est passée de la classe réelle à la classe synchronisée. Ainsi nous nous sommes passés en toute confiance à un environnement de classe à distance, accessible depuis un mobile, une tablette ou un ordinateur. J’aime beaucoup ce type d’enseignement et j’espère que nous continuerons d’être enseignés de cette façon pour toujours.

Après la fermeture des établissements scolaires pour limiter la propagation du virus, notre école a immédiatement adopté l’enseignement synchrone et ensuite l’enseignement asynchrone. Ainsi, grâce au progrès de la technologie, on a pu continuer les cours, résoudre nos questions et bien sûr «se rencontrer» et communiquer à distance, mais en pleine sécurité, avec nos professeurs et nos camarades de classe. J’aime cet environnement de classe à distance qui pour l’instant apparaît comme une solution idéale, mais je crois que rien ne peut remplacer la salle de classe.

J’ai vraiment aimé le cours de français en ligne. Le cours fonctionne bien sans aucun problème. L’enseignante répond directement aux questions des élèves, de sorte qu’il n’y a pas de questions en suspens. Enfin, à l’aide de programmes, l’enseignante peut faire une révision ou donner une nouvelle leçon.

Der Fernunterricht ist eine neue, besondere und interessante Erfahrung für mich. Es ist angenehm und bequem zu Hause zu sein und gleichzeitig deine Mitschüler am Computerbildschirm zu sehen! Es ist schön wieder im Online-Unterricht zu sein!

Die Lehrer sind total freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie unterstützen uns bei jeder Schwierigkeit, die wir haben. Wir haben uns auf eine neue Realität und einen neuen Tagesablauf umgestellt. Dadurch werden wir von unserer Einschränkung und von der Sehnsucht nach den alten Lieblingsgewohnheiten abgelenkt.

Seit einer Woche machen wir mit meiner Schule Online Unterricht, wegen der Korona Pandemie. Das finde ich sehr interessant und toll, weil es sehr praktisch ist. Zurzeit bleiben wir zu Hause und es ist wunderbar unsere Lehrer und Lehrerinnen wiederzusehen. Obwohl es manchmal einige kleine Verbindungsprobleme gab, haben wir es geschafft unseren Unterricht zu machen und wir sind wieder eine Klasse geworden!
